How to turbo a 1985 carbureted rx7?

Hey I'm new to the community so please forgive me if I sound like I know nothing I may be because I have no idea what I'm talking about. Anyway I wanted to turbo-charge my 1985 rx7 but I heard its a bit harder turboing a carbureted engine over a fuel injected engine; also I heard you cant or, shouldn't try to push out more than 10psi. I;m wondering if any of you can lead me to a thread or something where someone has done this before for me to reference? Also feel free to let me know what other alternatives I have to get more power out of this engine!

Thanks!

You can turbo a carburated engine. The first gen came turbo (T1). A blow through setup can be intercooled while a suck through can not. Carbs have to either be enclosed in the intake stream to presurize them, or just the bowls themselves be presurized. Search for 12at or search for info on turbo carb'd motorcycles. Seen lots of carb zx6r's turbo online and considered turbo'ing mine.
