with something that light weight, I'm sure it will be quick as hell.

power depends on boost which depends on fuel...then it depends on the turbo, if that makes sense

Tuned by KDR? Sorry but your chances are more leaning towards the blown motor than putting a decent number up. It would much wiser for you to find an actual tuner, not mechanic.

A few of us had a bad experience with not KDR but the hurley seals they used. This was back in 2000-2001 and I've heard he's using stock seals now so that's great news.

I wouldn't worry about it. You're in good hands.

I have my own opinions based on my experiences with them, but don't take my word, do a search on tuning. They've blown more motors than they kept togeather on the dyno. Dave is a good mechanic, but has no business tuning, unless he has changed BIG TIME in the past 1-2yrs. Why else do you thing somebody like Steve Kan, who is from Texas!, comes all the way up here for tuning sessions?

What kind of tune/hp are you shooting for? This would play a big part in choosing your tuner. Also, is Dave good with Haltec?

you might want to tune for a little more than 10psi with that turbo...it's barely breathing at that point, get it into the 14-17psi range and you won't be disappointed.

@ 10psi a laggy 320-330rwhp or so...4wd ~310 whp...around 7500rpms with 260ft-lbs ~5k rpms or so

I would think in your racing you want the torque as soon as possible, sooner and higher the max boost the sooner you'll see max torque.

supply the fuel to get it to 15psi and you'll see a lot more torque around 6k

if you don't have the injectors, maybe look into a pressure regulator to up the pressure and a BAP (boost a pump) voltage controller <--cheap way to get more fuel out of your current system.

of course this is all speculation...I ran 10psi (stock levels) on a larger single turbo for awhile, and once I turned it up and tuned for 17psi it was night and day.

http://www.kennebell.net/accessories...boostapump.htm

rotaries need a lot of fuel...I don't know if a van pump will do the trick.

if you have stock injectors I'd run base pressure of 50+psi

here is a fuel calculator to use

http://www.maxcooper.com/rx7/how-to/...tem/calcs.html

what are you injector sizes?? Stock for a cosmo?..I don't know what those sizes are
