how much boost do you run??? is 1.35 safe ??

hi just looking for bit info ,in uk we use 98 ron fuel shell optimax and on my current set up i make 500 fly wheel power on 1 bar.

here is my spec of the car any mods you think i might need to run 1.35 bar on standard shell fuel or do i need to use race fuel once i want 1.3 bar..

any comments or advise would be great my car ran 12 sec 126 mph at the strip last year- i now have drag radials too as traction was a problem....

i have doen a bit reasearch and my spec seems enough to run 1.3 bar on gas pump just want your thoughts please..

I'm running 22-24 psi on 90 but am on alky injection, also 8.5 rotors in a 13b.
It's all in the tune- and I run 11.5 plugs exclusively. I cannot stress the importance
of these plugs. There's a reason they cost so friggin much. After this season,
I'm gonna push the limits of pump + alky and post results. Obviously; I will
pop motor at some point, my sacrifice to further the cause- later!

You cannot run over ~16.5 psi with the stock MAP sensor....you need to upgraded to a 3-bar sensor. Also, I would not run 1.3 bar on pump fuel, but some do (for a little while at least). At a minimum, run water injection.

MOVING to single turbo as this is really more appropriate there....

Yep, and strangely enough, no proof of this run was ever provided.

it originally started out at something like 18PSI then worked its way down to a 6PSI figure on a stock turbo in a stock TII on a turbo swapped n/a engine with a 'tricked out n/a ECU'... i'm getting tired of the bullshit. might be believable if he can come up with some real boost figures but there is no ******* way on earth it ran those numbers on stock trim with stock turbo and only at 6PSI. 1) that time puts even moderately modded FDs up against the fence. 2) an FDs twins can put out a bit more HP than the stock S4 turbo and they don't even run those numbers unless running teens in boost levels 3) to reiterate, unless it has nitrous then it just aint possible.

maybe if it was dropped out of a goddamn airplane..

basically what he is claiming is that he gained well over 100WHP by modding the car and retaining the stock boost levels. most i can imagine is 30WHP at MOST by timing changes, freer flowing intake and exhaust and proper AFRs.

if he really can push those numbers and keep motors together then you do realize that puts him above well named tuners like steven kan right? i sure hope you don't believe what the kid sais after putting things into perspective and i hope we can clear the forum of his BS rumors and lies.
