I have an FC, but I'm sure the same holds true for FD's.
I run about 120:1 regular driving and 150:1 when I know I'm going to be thrashing the car.

Having the oil injected with the fuel gives better surface area coverage and lubrication. The 2-stroke oil also burns cleaner that regular motor oil.

Pre-mixing allows also me to run Synthetic Mobil 1 15W30, which definitely helps keep temps down better than dyno oil.

The only drawback that I can think of is that you have to carry around pre-mix bottles and you have to do two things at the gas station.

Hey eViL -- do you mean 120:1 during normal and 50 to one during hard driving?

I run 128:1 at pretty much all times (1oz : 1 Gallon, or 16oz per tank). I use Valvoline 2 stroke oil. I used Exxon once (all they had), and my primary injectors started sticking within one tank (perhaps a coincidence, but i think not).

Pretty straight forward though... I just dump in 16oz before i fill the tank, then fill 'er up! The first time i filled up i forgot to put oil in (DOH!), so now my gas cap has (in huge letters) "PREMIX!!!" on it

I use one 8-12 oz of premix per tank for normal driving. I use 16 oz per tank when I am racing. My injectors and OMP was removed when I went single mainly because one on my oil lines were leaking and I didn't see the need for the OMP when I run premix anyway. My opinion on this subject is that premix works better than the oil injectors. It lubricates more evenly, it burns better than standard motor oil (especially synthetic), and it eliminates the potential for the OMP to malfunction and cause your seals to receive an insufficient amount of lubrication. The oil injectors just drop a small amount of oil in the middle of the apex seal. Lubrication on the outer portion of the apex seals is poor. This is probably the reason the renesis motor uses two injectors per rotor spaced evenly across the apex seal.

I removed all of my oil injection equipment also so I could run synthetic. I am currently using Pettit's premix. I was offered 2 cases cheaper than I could find standard 2 cycle oil anywhere. I also heard good things about it. I use 4 oz. per 10 gallons. I am now almost out and am considering going with Royal Purple. I am very happy with their standard synthetic. A few people I know use it. They as were I were hard core REDLINE fanatics. When I switched to Redline in the 80s, our motors increased in horsepower, bearing live and ring wear were cut down tremendously.

(Does anyone use Royal Purple 2 cycle oil. Will it affect seal seating in a fresh engine. I will be changing my side seals very soon because of excessive blow by.)

i also use about 4oz/10gallons
OMP is there, but i have haltech - some people say its going at 1/2 power others say its doing nothing. I think i may just rip it all off when i put my motor back in this time...

16oz/fillup seems like a lot to me....no?

From the info that I gathered 1:100 ratio is about right for most standard premixes. 1-US gallon = about 128 ounces. So approximately 1-1/4 ounces of premix per gallon. When I called and talked to Pettit Racing, they told me to run 4 ounces per 10 gallons. ( With no oil injection ) I asked them twice to make sure. When I have my engine opened up, I will see the results. Unfortunately the shop which originally built my engine is tied up for the next 3 weeks. PIA I finally get some free time and extra money and now they are tied up so I won't know for a while. I want to open it but I don't want to give my original builder the motor in pieces. I hate having to work on somebody else clusterfuck so I don't want to do that to them.
