First one - 2 days
second one - 2 weeks
third one - 2 months
fourth one - hopefully 2 years, haha.

It was all due to stupidity from either tuning or engine build or my reckless *** running into ****.

However, I know a few ppl running 450+ hp and their **** has been solid for months and tons of drag runs.... they are using pump + AI though. Runs solid as hell for most of them.

3 Years and Counting... Wastegate Spring is 15 lbs, So that is the minimum I can run. The car is always running 18+psi. (Pump Gas). No Water, No Alcohol, just regular 93 gas from Mobil.

My engine last made 492rwhp at 20 psi, when the turbo ran out of breath,
and can't keep up with the volumetric efficiency of the engine at redline.

My engine isn't even that impressive, It's a small streetport
that was built by someone else.

But, the combination of parts and great fuel system make up for a lot.

The number one reason I am still on the same engine, while rotary 'acquaintences' are are on their 3rd, 4th, or even 5+ engine's...

There's nothing like a ******* great tuner...

My first was 400km until I lost a chunk of apex seal the size of a pen tip while cruising at 5in of vac at 100km/hr. Took out a housing, rotor and turbo. Still can't figure that one out......

Second engine....well I hope it lasts longer then that.

I've had plenty of near-to-stock ones last a long time though

Well over 200 quater mile passes LOL

hang on that equals 8km of hard driving :P

ok then its been going for 10 years !

hang on, no mention of how hard it was driven or how many km's covered :P

you will get a lot of BS replies in this thread with little qualified data OR you will get lots of claims of sustained performance which depending on the font its typed in and amount of exclamation marks will enforce the point to you and you might believe it if your stupid enough !!!!!!

My 450+rwhp motors generaly will cover 600000km in a 95% duty road cycle and the rest racing cycle (i.e full load/power and full revs, v's cruising revs and low rpm). For full racing duty dotn expect any more than 4000km of reliable service before you need a full overhaul. You can apply this data to numbers of years or fullee hectic 1/4 mile passes and stretch the fact to make it sound even better or more exagerated as required LOL LOL LOL

good one!!

it took me 2 engines to learn...then...

the last one is 2 years old...

10,000 daily driving miles
Street racing every thursday on '93 pump-gas, 20-25psi (+100 times)
+100 1/4 miles with T-111 @ 30 psi
+20 shift-misses (over 9000 rpms = no rev limit)
+10 racing times w/empty tank (not enough fuel supply = weird noises)
2 Solo-1 Races (2 heat/days, 4-laps/heat 1.30/ave. per lap) @ 15 psi on pump gas

One time while I was drunk I forgot to activate the secondary pump and race with another FD ... at 3rd shift when load was required it began to do the lean noises,,, I never stopped

One time I unadvertised left a socket inside IC piping and it hold off the TB WOT for 10 seconds until I was able to think and turn the engine off...

...so I would said I finally achieve REALIABILITY!!! HAJA!

... and I don't expect you to believe me... and I don't now how to over size fonts but at least I will use caps: IS TRUE !! JAJAJA!!!
