Hose Question - T04S

I have a vacuum/boost hose that runs from the IC piping to the lower manifold (near the front of the manifold and the nipple points almost staight up). I can see that this is similar to the stock setup which also has this hose. My question is what is this for? Pressure equalization or something like that? Otherwise it just seems to bypass the IC.

Thanks for the reply,

Shawn

huh?

Are you talking about the 2 nipples on the black pipe with the BOV attached to it?

That I am. Right now one goes to the external wastegate and the other goes to the lower manifold on the inside toward where the solenoids used to be. There is a large nipple right inderneath the secondary fuel rail near the front of the engine. Of course I have never looked at a stock engine and this one was installed like this before I got the car but in the manual the vacuum hose drawing shows a hose going from the ic piping to the lower manifold, so I guess it needs to be there. But I'd like to know what it is for. Anyone with T04S kit have this or not have this hose?
