Holset HX25W

Hey guys. Got a cheap handle on a Holset HX25W turbo from work. Now these things have a big housing, but a tiny output apparently.

Is it worth it to stock up on it for my 6-port NA to FI conversion I'm planning, or am I better off going with something else?

Has anyone installed this, and are there pros/cons? This'll be a fun street car, already have a track car.

2 of them eh...I have no idea about twin setups, but that sounds interesting since I can get two of them haha

are they internally gated? do you have the dimensions on the wheels? if they have not super small turbine housing and are internally gated you could use the 2 of them.. rough estimate would be 450 hp max with alot of midrange as they have no problem making high boost if you stay in the compressormap.

They're externally gated. Here are some of the specs I found products_detail.ews | Turbotech

I do believe I measured a 3" inlet, the only thing is it's a Type C HX25W, so it's got the exhaust flange to adapt it. If it's doable, I'll start looking into the manifolds I'd need, and the general setup for a twin system. Got any good sources for info on such a thing?

manifold will for sure have to be custom, and you will need 2 identical wastegates.. it would have been easier is the turbos had been internally gated..

now you need to build 2 manifold and buy 2 wastegates.. mayb easier to uy a new S200 for 600 dollar and call it a day?
