HKS WG diaphragm replacement or copy?

I have a HKS cast iron manifold, which means I have the old 4 bolt flange.
My WG is acting up, pretty sure the diaphragm is leaking. It is the old standard WG.
Im torn between replacing the diaphragm which will run about $120 for the part, versus putting a new copy WG on there for now. The main issue is that I dont know how much longer I am keeping this set up

another option is to get a 4 bolt-vband adapter and use another WG, but again I would want something that would work with my next set up as well and this would obviously be more money spent now.

I always hear some guys saying they were running the copy WG with no issues but I hate to run a copied part on my car. Trying not to have too much invested in this current set up incase I go to sell it I dont lose too much money. Not talking huge power here- 400hp.

what do you guys think?

Hey Rob.
Take a look at the SS Autochrome 50mm wastegate..Before you start bashing, hear me out,I have that gate, and it cracked when I put a spring in it.(Over-tightened the allen bolts).
Do you think that diaphragm would work for ya?

I actually ordered thier replacement diaphram, it was $17 with shipping. Figure its worth a shot.
I was going to put a new style tial 44mm and a adapter but it puts me about 1/2" too long it wont clear my downpipe

I got an HKS adapter from Banzai sitting here too.
I went to put my 50mm JGS on and it hit also. But I had a spare 4 bolt flange and vband so I got it welded at an angle instead of screwing up a brand new Hks adapter!

due to the overwhelming interest in this topic I will give my update:

I replaced the diaphragm with one from a copy of a HKS WG. My reason for this was 2 fold, first was the fact that the only vendor I had any faith in was HKS themselves and they were giving a 1-2 MONTH estimated ship time.
2nd was price- for the $15 or so it cost for the copy diaphragm I figured I had nothing to really lose right?

When I went to put it in I found one of the bolts for the top of the WG snapped off at the head. When I removed the original diaphragm it looked to be in really good shape, but Im no expert on these things so I replaced it anyhow, removed the broken bolt and put it all back together.

Took the car for a ride today and it seems back to normal. So success for now.

misty- where did you get that spare 4 bolt flange from? I think I still want to swap the WG out especially if I change turbos
