HKS Wastgate spring...

is the standard wastegate spring, interchangable with the racing wastegate spring?

Some of the springs are interchangable between the Racing & Standard wastegates. Go here to cross-reference the springs.

i have a standard hks w/ a 9lb spring , What is the maximum boost i can run ? its a street ported t2 motor

i believe that wastegate springs are good up to double their lbs. so... for u it would be 18lbs. <--- I could be very wrong. the internet is a vast canyon of mis-knowledge

does any one know if this is true cause i was planning on doing a race gas tune at 20+ psi. i have heard it goes a little higher than double the spring pressure.

i dont want to have problems on the dyno, will it be unstable up past 18-20 psi?

nope........ if you want to do it the right way. Just buy a $40 spring. No biggie......

yeah i have checked the next spring is 14 psi minimum. unless u know of a twelve or something?
