HKS wastegate problem
Well I found the reason I was overboosting, a hole in each of the silicone hoses. I replaced the section past the downpipe with 1/4" brake line so I wouldn't have this problem again and boost was at my command with the profec b...at least for a moment. Now no matter where I have the boost set or if the unit is turned off the wastegate is opening up at 10 psi, it has a 15 psi spring in it. Any idea whats going on?

Sounds like a 10psi spring to me too. I've seen that happen quite a bit. Not that we are doubting your ablilities, but it just sounds like you have the wrong spring in there.

The HKS springs are not open/close at a single psi, they have a progressive nature. It may start to open at 10psi but isn't fully open til 15psi.
The spring rate will be printed on the upper housing.

well i feel stupid. It is the green 10.2 psi spring, when I had the holes in my lines I turned the profec b off and it was opening closer to 15 hence why I thought it was a 15 pounder. I'm assuming that the solenoid isn't seeing that the controller is on, is there any other thing that would cause it to open at spring rate with the controller on?
thanks for the help so far.
