Does anybody know if the wastegate is vented into the atmoshpere or rerouted back into the exhaust. HKS USA does not have the picture of the actual kit so thats why im asking. Thanks

HKS kits are usually routed into the downpipe. If you are looking at a new kit dont waste the money on HKS. You can get the samething for a lot cheaper.

HK$ is way overpriced. There are a few choices that will cost less and perform as well if not better.

What are the spool chararistics between the to4z vs the a spec 500r. Whats the power at 17psi between the two? Also does anyone know if the HKS manifold is a short runner or long runner, the image on the site is a to4r kit and I'm assuming they are using the same maniold which looks like a short runner. I'm still debating between the two, oh and just for giggles think the rotory can spool a GT47-88mm.

Pretty similar, in overall performance, we've done both setups here, with very similar builds. Side by side the 500R spools a bit quicker. Response depends a lot on overall setup though. We did side by side running around and found the 500R to feel quicker on boost. The HKS unit will come with the short runner manifold. 500R will come in short runner, medium(RHD), or long runner. With the HKS kit you will get a mild steel DP, it is a complete kit however, though it lacks in support. 500R you will get a 321SS manifold, SS DP, tial 44mm WG, thermal barrier for the engine bay, hightemp (1200deg) shielded coolant lines, stainless braided drain. It also comes with a warranty that covers water lines, oil lines, manifold and DP. For as long as you own them. If I had to make the biggest comparison of the two it is support, you will get very little support from HKS should there be a issue. And while we are not perfect, we do try our best to insure that we have you covered as best we can.

Do you have any dynos with the different runner manifolds with the same turbo? Which offered the best spool and most power? Now if I order the kit thru you will I have the option of different turbo (to4z garrett) and different runner configurations? Thanks.
