Had no issues with mine as far as durability, fitment and performance (although the turbo does most of the actual performance )

A tubular manifold COULD get you more. Not necesairly more power, but more as in better response, cooler EGT's, a more ideal turbo placement, better wastegate runner design............but it all comes at a cost.

IMHO, bang for buck wise the greddy/hks log mani's are freakin' awesome.

yeah ludwig your right, I'm constantly stuck in fc world, sorry. If it's an hks/greddy manifold for an fc it's undivided and if it's for the fd it's devided.

bringing this back from the dead. I have looked on the HKSUSA website, and they show only an FD cast mani. What is the differences on the FD and FC for exhaust? Are they spaced further apart? Or is there some other fundamental difference?

excellent pic. now where to find one. my question is is this one the same as the one for the FC? http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=657

I guess a more specific question would be, between the FD and the FC, is there any difference in exhaust port spacing or bolt/stud pattern on the block?

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=cast+manifold

In this post, it is stated that the 'FD' cast mani will fit, but there are fitment issues with the pass. frame rail (possibility I am misinterpreting?).

What are you trying to do? The FC and FD as with ALL 13b engines have the same engine to exhaust manifold stud pattern and exhaust port placement. Almost all aftermarket turbo's for 13's are T4 based be it divided or open valute and have the same corresponding turbo bolt patterns. The FD cast manifold from HKS is divided T4 and is placed close to the block as the FD intake manifold allows this. The FC cast manifold from HKS has the turbo further out and forward and is NOT divided. When the FD HKS cast mani is used on the FC engine block there’s chance for turbo to have interference with the lower intake manifold. When the FC HKS cast manifold is used on a FD engine in FD chassis the turbo will interfere with the frame rail.

Buy the correct manifold for the application. If its engine swap, then the info I just provided should be enough to figure out what works and doesn't.

Well, according to www.hksusa.com there is no listing whatsoever for the the FC cast mani. The reason I asked is because I was assuming everyone was referring to the same one, be it FC or FD. This is why I decided to ask to clear it up. Unfortunately (as with most of my posts) I found why my searches were resulting in error. I was looking in the wrong places. Thus, I found my answer, and in case anyone else happens across this thread, I will post my answer: http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/st...-91%20rx-7.htm

When I looked on this site, they had the proper manifold for my application (that being that my stock manifold was cracked, and I had planned on upgrading the turbo anyway). Of course it is stainless, and not cast either.

As you can see here, the only offered cast manifold (the same is true for www.hksusa.com) is for a " '93-95' ". Thus, my question still lingers.

What I was hoping for, was a URL to an appropriate outlet for the HKS FC Cast manifolds.

You may have a tough time finding one, I'm sure another member can verify this but I would assume this item is discontinued from HKS. That would be my hunch at least if it is no longer part of their catalog listing, the car is quite a few years old now and the market has probably shrunk to the point where it no longer makes sense for them to produce it.

You could have luck sourcing a used one, or get lucky finding a shop that still has one on the shelf. I have the FD cast manifold from HKS, its a nice economical unit that will last a long time, precisely why I chose it over a more expensive stainless one. Didn't Cartech copy their manifolds for a while as well?

Get an FD manifold and don't run a giant hotside. If its still too close with a smallish hotside (1.00>) then simply add a spacer.

I thought speedmachine still listed the Greddy FC mani - but they've changed their site recently and now only list their own stainless mani's.

I was pretty sure they were discontinued. Oh well, you snooze ya lose. Actually (and I'll have to call and verify the price, because it seems too cheap) they list a stainless tubular on one of the links i posted above, for $225. Not sure they stock it, and it might be a cheap ebay knockoff. We'll see. As far as I can tell, this might be my only simple option. Thanks for the confirmation mjw. I thought they were discontinued.

i might just get one of those and give it a shot. Its either that or the stainless one that I linked to above. The price says it all. From all I have read the HKS cast mani's arent bad.

If you're looking for an FC HKS cast mani this place has them, and they have a coupon code for $20 off orders over $199.00, which this applies.
