well i installed my single and now when i went to test out the wastegate response it spikes crazy amounts of boos.. yet i only have the stock 8psi spring in there..

now im retracing my steps on the install and how i wired the wastegate..

first .. the wastegate came with a plate at the bottom .. i left it on there and just bolted it up to my manifold.. im thinking thats the way its supposed to be.

second... im using both nipples on the wastegate . the offset top side and the one in the middle/bottom... im running it with my boost controller ... and yes the bc is off.

it is tee'd onto my uim where the bov line goes...


what are my options of how to correct this issue?
i realy need to get a steady and stable wastegate inorder to get this car tuned.

What exhaust manafold are you using. And for test disconnect all lines the spring will unload above 10 lbs.

There you go, they are known to creep and spike. I have 10 lb spring and it goes to 16 lbs. Im going to replace it and run 14.2 spring. With 38 mil tail it spiked 20 lbs!

 

If you got the boost controller off, just disconnect the top fitting off the WG for now.

A little help please. I'm running the HKS 50mm now but some how the allen head bolt that goes on top of the waste gate fell out. Its the bolt thats right in the middle in the center. Well anyone happen to have one to post the size and length so I can get a replacement? I'm also wondering if I'm running an electronic boost controller (Greddy Profec Spec II) could I just leave the bolt out and compensate with the boost controller? Thanks..Tony
