high hp guys I need insight into pucking clutch clutch

ok im in a delema,
the car is gonna be modded out..fully built and large ported motor, t04s, apex fmic, haltec. 1600 secondaries...all the bases covered..on the street im gonna run 16psi wich should be fine with the street strip,, but when i go to the trac ill be runnin 22psi and lookin to lay down over 500rwhp

my original plan was to go with act extreme press plate, and the racing beat 6 puck sprung hub...
but it seems no one can get me just the extreme press plate (havent called $rx7 i was hopin they would e-mail me back)..even when i contacted act they just recomeded gettin the ZX3-HDR6
but the unsprung hub makes me leary and its only the reg hd press plate. but will hold 577ft lbs how streetable is the unsprung hub? i dont really do any stop and go at all but u never know..
then theirs the street/strip clutch for 480 seems to be best value since it includes the bearings (75$ value) and is supost to hold 402ft lbs. will it hold up to my motor in race trim?? or should i spend the $ find the extreme press plate, the racing beat 6 puck sprung ( rotor sports said they can get the extreme press plate for 358) 358press plate+155disk +70 bearings=583+ship
i e-mailed tony and jason, tony said hed have to lok to see if they even made one

so should i go ( all you high hp guys feel free to chyme in)

480+ship and ??? will it hold all my power(street/ srtip)

or 583 and if it dosent hold i dont know what will(if i can find the press plate)
thanks guys

i posted this in 3rd gen section but figgured more high hp guys would be here

ACT does make an Xtreme pressure plate that you could use, but as of a week ago they were on backorder. The ZX3-HDR6 is plenty of clutch for you. Your going to hate driving the car with that clutch

Have you ever driven an unsprung clutch before? if not I suggest you test one out before you have one installed. I would say most people would not be happy with one in a car that is driven on the street.

Jay is right. Drive a car with a puck clutch first.
Otherwise the street/strip has plenty of holding power, but it depends on what you are using the car for.

Clutchnet makes a 6 puck with springs. I have it in my car, and it's very streetable. It also grabs very well. T&R Racing uses them in both their cars and their customers' cars.

I have the ACT Extreme in my car with the 6-puck ACT springless disk. It is a challenge to drive on the street. The interesting part is when it is cold it acts better. When it starts to get warmer, it get very grabby and the property of the clutch changes. IT IS A BITCH!

I can say it has NEVER slipped with the modest hp and torque.

Mazdaspeed twin plate clutch!!! Holds up to 1000hp. More then enough and is quite streetable after you get the hang of it. I've been using it for the past 6 month and I love it.
