Unhappy Help w PowerFC boost control kit & external wastegate

We are having problems adjusting boost with an Apex'i PowerFC w Commander & Apex'i Boost Control Kit using an external wastegate. It's spiking from a set 15psi to 18-19psi. It works well up until 12psi. Your help will be greatly apreciated.

I tried to put together my own boost control kit using a greddy solenoid (I was told by horsepowerfreaks.com the greddy solenoid is identical to the apexi unit which was on back order). I connected the solenoid to the precontrol connector as someone advised on the forum. Boost 'control' was sporadic at best. Adjusting the duty cycle settings by just one point made boost jump from 8psi to around 14psi. After doing a couple of runs without changing anything and getting different results I decided to throw in the towel.

Have you contacted Apexi's tech support department yet?

Doc,

Can it and move on. Whoever gave you the advice to buy the kit, make them eat the cost. Profec B Spec II works very nicely. Blitz works well too. First hand. NONO on AVC-R. I tossed mine.
