Help pick a turbo

I have been researching turbos for some time now but im still lost. I’m looking for a turbo that would support around 300 - 350 wheel hp and will have fast spool up time. Throttle response is my primary concern so I am thinking some sort of ball bearing turbo but I am not sure what brand or trim type. Thanks.

I have a 88 t2 btw.

There is TONS of info on this board if you search for it. For 300 HP really you could just use a hybrid from BNR. A full T04 would be best but they cost significantly more. Don't forget all the peripherals that go with having that sort of power, fuel (pump, injectors etc), computer etc

What do you think about the t04e? I have been looking at that for a while and it seems to be the best turbo for my needs. I was thinking about a hybrid but i have the dough to spend so...
Would you reccomend ball-bearings on this style of turbo or is it not worth it?

And yes I know I need all the supporting mods .
