help with manual boost controller

Can anyone tell me how to rig up a manual boost controller with the HKS standard wastegate? I will be getting a Profec B but until then I would like to run a little more than 7PSI.
Thanks,
Cliff

I had tried something like that but I got a major boost spike. I have one of those ball/spring valves but the way they show to hook it up I get the same results... when the turbo 1st spools I get a big spike, I let off the gas right away, so i don't know it would come down or not.
I just took it out because I didn't want to blow my engine, but driving around on 7PSI sucks.
There must be a safe way to just bump it up a little... to maybe 10PSI.
The instuctions say to hook up the pressure line to the valve, then from the valve to the side port on the wastegate, and plug the vent. Is this correct?
