I used all Vibrant to make my 4 inch turbo back exhaust. Its not restrictive at al, currently making 810 RWHP at 23psi on E85. Going for 1000 RWHP.

For the exhaust I ordered:

1 - 4 inch U/J bend to make the down pipe
1 - 4 inch straight for the exhaust
1- 4 inch flex section
2 - 4 inch resonators
1 - 4 inch bullet race muffler
1 - 4 inch exhaust muffler
1 - V-band
4 - exhaust hangers

All this since i'm running a full bridge 75mm turbo two rotor (going to billet 80mm as we speak). It is still loud but on the freeway cruising at 80-100 mph I can still talk on my iPhone no problem.

Here are some pics:

This one is looking from the downpipe on the right and going back towards the rear of the car. You can see the V-band to connect to some straight section - flex section - resonator #1 - 40 degree-ish pie cut from s straight section to connect to resonator #2 - straight section to the bullet race muffler

This photo shows from the back of the car looking forward (you dont see the exhaust muffler or race muffler) here are resonator #2 - 40 degree straight section - resonator #1 - flex section - straight - v-band - down pipe

This picture below shows from the back of the car the big rear exhaust muffler - the bullet race muffler - straight section - bend- resonator #2 - 40 degree bend - resonator #1 - flex section.

Heres a pic of the wrapped 4 inch down pipe with the Precision turbo 66 mm waste gate with dump tube going by the transmission tunnle. Nothing hits anywhere and this is also a right hand drive car so I have to deal with the steering column. On a left hand drive car its even easier.

Picture of the moking up the setup before coating and wrapping:
turbo - 4inch down pipe, exhaust manifold (its an HPI exhaust manifold, flow is amazing) - Precision turbo 66mm waste gate (zero issues with boost creep/spikes)

Its a tight fit but it can be done with out having to cut anything or modify anything (it will fit with the stock water neck but ours was modified for the v-mount to route the intake tube properly) If there was no v-mount the water neck would not have to be modified.

Here is a picture withthe 75mm Borg warner T4 housing turbo mounted onto the HPI FD turbo manifold. The HPI turbo manifold is made for any T4 turbo, ive run everything from T04R, TO4Z, GT35R, Borg Warner 75mm and now a Borg Warner billet 80mm and it all fits

with injector heat sheild in place and the intake tube

Pic of the car with the exhaust, it doesn't rub or hit on anything

810whp at only 23psi on a 13b-re? Why is this hard to believe, most are in the 500-600 range at 23psi why do you have 50% more power than most, if it was a 20b I could understand but ummmmm.......

Nice car by the way, well, minus the wing, not my taste, but nice car none the less...

Thanks, yeah the wing is one of those you either like or you don't. Kind of like the paint, its a Dupont Chromalusion which changes 4 different colors. The base is purple and goes to a maroon, burgundy, gold.

Info on the engine:

810 was on a dyno jet at 23 psi. On a mustang dyno it hit a consistent 729 rwhp at 23 psi in 90 degree temps. so based on those numbers on the dyno jet it picked up 11%. I used the dyno jet numbers because everyone i see uses a dyno jet to get their "big" number. I have yet to see anyone actually use a mustang dyno for their "big" number. We are shooting for 1000 RWHP on a mustang dyno with our new turbo (billet 80mm borg warner)

Current set up is:

Motec M84 full bridge 2 rotor with massive intake and exhaust ports. The cosmo RE intake manifold (upper and lower) has been cut in half, ported way out, and re-welded.

The exhaust manifold is an HPI with 62mm exhaust runners, full 4 inch exhaust.

Intake system is a V-mount with 3 inch piping out the turbo to the intercooler, 4 inch pipping out the intercooler into a wilson manifolds 105mm throttle body and then to the cosmo intake manifold.

fuel system 3 intake bosch 044 pumps (also something people said was not possible like my power numbers) with stock factory fuel level gauge. 2 ID 2000 injectors and 4 bosch 1680 injectors.

heres 2 videos when we started at 23 psi first one is making 675 RWHP and the second is 703 on the mustang dyno.

Good videos to also get a feel for what the exhaust sounds like:

Steve Kan at PRT performance can verify we only ran 23 psi as he was there since we were using his mustang dyno, these runs were numbers 1 and 2 as we were tuning our low boost map. You can see how the dyno graph is choppy and gets smoother as we kept running just from the first to the second one.

Yes, we used two 45 degree 4 inch pipes. V-band onto turbo and v-band to rest of exhaust.

No issues at all after about 6000 miles so far. It clears everything and sits up high enough that it doesn't catch on anything and most importantly it doesn't burn anything.

No issues with regards to boost spikes, creep, etc. it's a great waste gate especially when I run it on low boost and need it to dump everything the 75mm Borg Warner can throw at it while the engine is reving to 10,500 RPM's.

I'm considering a larger exhaust in my FB. How's the clearance over the rear axle? Would it hit the exhaust at full jounce? Do you have any pictures?

When I put the v bands on I tweak it alittle to try to minimize rubbing... If I hit a real bad pothole it will Slightly bumb the Rearend I'm thinking about adding another hanger however... I'm not a professional fabricator... If I would have taken my time a bit more I probably would have zero issues... I also put the weight on the tires while fabbing it up... Let me see If I have and decent pics

Thanks for the pics. I see you still have the 1st gen rear axle. I swapped mine for a Toyota 8" last year for fear of breaking it.
