HELP!!! 5000RPM at start up with my single.
Guys, help please! i've finally done my single, here's what's in the car
t04 with 1.50 exhaust
1600cc injectors with apr regulator
PFC with commander-dont know the setting but injectors are at 550-1500
When i started it up the RPM jumps all the way up to 5000, i know i've adjusted the throttle cable, (i am not running double throttle), I've replaced the Upper Intake Manifold (UIM) with the JDM-which most the sensors under the UIM have been removed. Basically that's all i've changed with the car, what could seem like a problem? why is it doing that? with the high 5000RPM? oh note: that the rpm needle retuns to 9000 when i shut off??????
Help please!!!

if your throtal isnt sticking open due to miss adjustment or a stuck cable, you have a very very large vacume leak
id check to make sure you didn miss anything that you were suppoto put back on the UIM

i had this problem a while back. Check your throttle cable and make sure its has no breaks in it. Then make sure sure your throttle plates are all the way closed.

looks like i have to somehow close up the throttle plates as for the old throttle body's intake stud broke that i cant use. I saw it just now (i cant count how many nights i stayed up late working on this car) Although the plate openings aren't that bad, about 2cm gap? i disconnected the other throttle cable and it dropped from 5000rpm to 3000rpm, it's a relieve knowing the cause of the problem might not be as serious. Cause i would be p-ssed off the fact that i didn't even drive this RX7 that much since i bought it in April, and it's been sitting-waiting for parts ever since. As for the vacuum leak suspected, i doubt that's the cause, no air leak was heard and i checked every inlet-outlet air fittings. bad thing is that i am getting vacuum air for the waste gates, oil injector and the fuel atomization all from the UIM, is that gonna be enough air?
I am fixing the high rpm problem right now, will let you know if that fixes it, pretty sure it will. Thanks in advance though guys. OH, you guys have a good PFC map or settings saved up somewhere that ya could send to me? i need to make sure nothing messes up before i drive to RX7 Performance for a dyno tune.
if you dont mind please send em to duytienforever2@yahoo.com thanks
