Having fun with my 7.Then NO BOOST WTF!!

Hey everyone. i have a t78 greddy turbo setup in my car and since im nearing the end of a break in cyle im only boosting 10lbs..I was out tonight haveing some fun with the car .. car was boosting very strong and all of a sudden NO BOOST whats so ever..off course cauding no blow off noises whatsoever.. i checked my boost gauge and it read nothing! Im wondering what could have possibly happened?!! The car runs and drive fine as if im driving a N/A Rx-7.I was cjecking to see if there was any smoke but there is none.. I didnt see any oil leaking from the turbo.. i aslo checked the line from the Blowoff valve as well as that notorious valve on the firewall that the house comes off. any suggestions? help!!

Sounds like a hole in the IC piping some where or a clamp or coupler issue.

^^ what he said. MANY times I have blown the coupler right off the top of the turbo that connects to my first IC pipe. Though this happens to me in boost it sounds like a gunshot but then the car acts fine, just no boost. Can you hear any boost leaking from the engine bay like the turbo is trying to force air through the piping? Other than that maybe you just blew a vac line off...

take off your intake and check to see if the compressor wheel spins freely

ok guys i checked around again and removed the intake the wheel is spinning ffreely. however i found a weird circular ring directly behind the compressor that was just hanging.. it has a nut on it and its so weird because you have to loosen it to make it fit inside the compressor housing.. si i put it back in a went for a spin.. i ahve little boost around 5lbs and the blow off valve is working but is there some way to tighten this weird circular thingy.. its a greddy t78 hope this helps.

As above... My money is on a coupler being off or a slice in one. I had this happen once to me. Slice in coupler only under boost would show. So go check every coupler, clamp anywere presure could leak from compressor outlet to TB.
