NC GTX4294 dyno results. 467@16, 509@20, 548@23

Good morning fellas. I had the chance to get the car dynoed yesterday in Asheville, up at Redline Performance. We had Steve Osley behind the wheel and everything turned out pretty good. Im waiting on the dyno sheets to be emailed to me. But tye numbers I can remember was of the last few pulls. Steve managed to get 548hp 501ft-lbs @ 23psi on a dynocom dyno on pump gas and meth.

Car sounded ridiculous. David Hayes, allrotor93, and a few other guys were there waiting to see the carnage. Well she survived. This car has been thru hell and back, and now its riding on cloud nine. I didnt get my 600hp goal cause we were n pump gas, but im satisfied. For now. Lol. I will post the graphs later and try to upload a video if I can. The low boost numbers were (dont quote me on these) 467@16psi, 509@20, and then the 548/501@23psi. We had the meth spraying very aggressively and coming on early. More power could've been made, but I decided to stop there. I will keep everyone posted with more info as it comes.

What are the specs on the engine? I'm sure with that compressor as you turn the boost up you'll see some good gains. Congrats

Rotorsports racing street port, south coast rotary corner and side seals, I had the als seals but now run the RXPARTS seals cause of availability. Nothing fancy. Really wished I had gotten it balanced.

And as far as spool. Holy hell. This thing is amazing. Reall really pulls hard. If I had my cobra diff setup in I would hit the drag strip.

I think it has a 1.10 rear, dont quote me on that. And I have a build thread from a while back, pics of the manifold are in that thread. But its a twin scroll, twin gate piece made by Ray Wilson from PFS. I actually bought it used.
The turbo is called Garretts drag spec turbo. Sean from Aspec tuning recommended it to me. I wanted something with great spool but also be able to make good power on the big end. So Sean said they made a 67mm version of the GTX42r. It suppose to have a 66mm compressor and 94mm exducer.

Well, if it were me I would by Garrett's drag spec turbo over the BW unit. Here is the specs size wise. 66.8 ind 94mm exd with a 82mm turbine. Versus a 67.6 ind and a 91.4 exd. 83.4mm turbine. You could also get it with a 70mm inducer if you wish but at that point you might as well get standard 4294 since they are 71mm basically. I can get you that one for the same price as the standard one.

Dont let the numbers bother you. If a car made those numbers on the dyno I tune on you have a 9 second car. Just be happy no one gave you a fake 650hp dyno figure.

Well done. Love car's like this. Must feel amazing to drive?

Torque is insane. I like how it spools so early for a 42r too. That powerband almost seems trackable . Any videos with it on the road?

im surprised to see a max torque number at 5200 rpm. usually that number comes up around 6-6200 on a consistant basis. also i would have expected a much later run before the rpm dropped. its like a 35r on steroids all midrange power. from the graph it looks like a .84 but is probably a 1.01 since that is the smallest a/r made. its deff an impressive curve.

Nice numbers, car sounds really good. What is your exhaust setup? It has such a deep sound to it.

Exhaust setup is a 5" off turbo that tapers to 4" all the way out. I have a round 4" resonator in the middle of the car and one magnaflow muffler at the rear. It is a very nice sound. Plus the dual wastegates are plumbed in.
