GT42R air filter options

The only filter I've found that'll fit is the K&N

What's everyone doing for their intake on the 42s?

Thanks

The one I've used is a bit longer and it's not tapered.

hmmm. . . I'll look some more. you wouldn't happen to have a part number, name, link, etc?

also, RE your BETTER results with it. . .i presume you constructed an accomodating cold air intake to provide the better result eh? or is it literally just better in the identical setup with compared to without?

again, thanks

Not because of the cold air but mainly due to the design of the airfilter. The K&N reduces the turbulent air and smoothens the air. It's the only airfilter I've tested that does that as they claim. I've seen it on the dyno even at 850 rwhp by removing the filter and loosing power . The filter also does the same as using a velocity stack in front of the turbo. The only other filter that came close was the Blitz but it still lost power but the lowest of all I've tested. The Blitz was around 8 to 10 hp lost but I believe that was mainly due to it's smaller size for the power supported during the test. I've tested the Blitz at lower power outputs and there was no power loss. The HKS and Greddy filters are the worst I've tested. I've seen 42hp lost on a Greddy at 860rwhp output levels.
