many of us are still waiting for the turbos to come in. Hopefully I will get mine by the end of this month. Once I get it and my motor back together I will post some dyno #'s for everyone.
How many other people are waiting for their GT40r's to come in?

For all you guys waiting all I can do is say hang on, it is completely on Garrett, and you may call around to check if you wish, I am also stuck waiting as well so I know where your at. They told me May now they told me end of May. It sucks I know but it'll be worth it.

Rebuild 3mm Seals, V-Mount, ECU, all just to have the stockers peter out at 5 psi @ under 5krpm, and 8-11 spikes over 5k... ....

Hey Sean, what is the status on all the other components? I assume everything is ready except the turbo. I am not presurring you, just curious.
Also, does the kit come with any heat shielding for the exhaust side of the turbo. I was looking into getting one of those slip on fabric covers. I figured on wrapping the manifold as well as the downpipe.. Any thoughts on these items?

Not really waiting on other components I had a hold up on the stainless for about a week put me a little behind but that's about it. You will get some heatshielding for the framerail, I wouldn't wrap it unless you live in a dry climate or remove your kit frequently, it requires upkeep.

Just get the turbine housing and DP sprayed with JetHot coating. That will help to keep the temps down. Sean, there isn't a problem with spraying the turbine housing of the 40R is there?? I wouldn't see why, I've seen other turbos done that way.

my car has 550 horse power. too bad they are all dead horses. But seriously it looks like it's gonna make alot of horse power. I can tell just by looking at it, all nice and clean, just sitting in my shop on jack stands still waiting for a motor and turbos. ****, it looks like it might even make 700 hp if I clean even more stuff while I wait for everything
Sean, not picking on you, just having a little brevity. My motor guy still hasn't finished my motor yet so there's no point in getting my panties in a wad.

ps I was planning on heat coating the turbine housing and wrapping the down pipe. I like the way the wrap takes some of the tinny sound out of the exhaust and changes the pitch a little. I assume the down pipe is stainless. If not then I would have to coat first.
What about jet hot coating the manifold, yes or no?
