Seriously? So, it's against the law to have aftermarket parts in California?

What's next? They going to legalize gay marriage? wait......

They suck here, especially with shinny stuff under the hood.

Noo! don't sell the car! I've been following up on your buildup since the beginning and you have one of the best street driven 7's out here in California. I hope things are well with you. GLWS!

Oh no seriously?

Crispy, do you have a link you could share of the part out? Or anyone that knows for that matter?
I dont know why I would want to see the carnage, but I followed his progress religiously, so I am interested.

Sorry to hear this atihun! I hope to move on to better things.
You did such an admirable job, one of the cleanest I have seen, always jealous of your attention to detail, craftsmanship and aesthetic choices

yep guilty as charged

atihun gave a me a great deal on it and my original intention was to keep it but the car's build was not track friendly. Basically very difficult to get to anything that would need repair, tightening etc.....

It was sold as a very nice rolling chassis that found a good home as a 20b donor car.

I still have the V-mount setup FS which is truly one of a kind. Price is 2k firm or it'll just go in one of my cars down the road.

1. Don't use ss braided lines to the turbo, they transfer quite a bit of heat through the aluminum fittings and stainless wrap. If you do, make sure to shield them (very well). I found that one side the hose inside got so brittle that it started to leak slightly. Lucky I found this out while I was putting everything back together.

4. Turbo blankets fall apart. Quicly. I decided to replace it with a custom Inconel heat shielding. They made a shield for the exhaust manifold, all the way around the turbo, the downpipe, and even one for the wastegate. It doesn't hold in as much heat as a blanket, but I think that is better for the longevity of the turbo.

Here's the dyno after switching to the SMB:

Here's some pics of the hose re-routing and the turbo shielding:

Great numbers! I just installed my GT35R in my FB. My numbers are quite a bit below yours, but I'm also running a S4 engine and some other below optimal parts.

I really need to get that heat shielding though!
