GT35R Custom

There was someone with a GT35R on the forum that was customizing their GT35R so that it would use a T4 sized inlet instead of a T3.

ARE YOU FINISHED???

Has anyone else done this with success??

Thanks

iif you are talking about what i think you are then they were not succesful. check out www.cheapturbo.com they got a non bb gt35/t4 called the blowzilla. i think it would fit a rotary perfectly. flows just a little bit more air then a t04s/60-1.

If you are trying to fit a GT35R onto a T4 manifold then you can buy or make a T4 to T3 adapter. Not sure if thats what you want to do.

I saw that turbo on there as well. Seems interesting. I wonder how good the Cheapturbo T04R is as well?

www.atpturbo.com now makes a t04 housing for the gt35r. Sell your current housing and switch to the t4 and your set.

Fullblown, It might have been me......I'm thinking of doing my own GT3540 turbo kit using the HKS cast manifold with a T3 flange welded to the manifold. I thought that this was the way to go, but I have changed my mind once again. Instead, I'm 99% sure I will be using Pac Performance custom manifold. I'll be down in Pac sometime next month.

If I am correct, and sean can double check this, I believe that there is no difference between the t3 housing and the t4 housing option for the GT35r. The only difference is the flange size. After that, the internal size and A/R are the same as the housing that comes stock on the GT35R. This means you can bolt it to a t4 size manifold but you won't get the flow of a t4 housing. This is for people who do not want to use a t4 to t3 adapter. Maybe later on, more a/r's will be available. The Gt40r however uses a full blown T4 housing.

You might ask ATP, or Boost Logic, as both offer a GT35R with a T4 housing. Carl

There is no difference between the two you are correct it is essentially the same housing with a T4 footprint, that is all, I am working on them getting a larger divided housing we will see how long it takes them to come through,
