gt35r ar sizes
hey guys i was wondering if anybody is running the garrett gt35r with a t4 .82 ar would it be good enough for street use? i want boost down low but dont want to choke out the turbo up high would the t4 .82 be able to keep up the the rev range? i have the turbo already but its got the t3 .82 or shoud i just spend the money and get the t4 1.06 ar? the motor is a stock port so would the 1.06 be too big? im just getting into all this turbo stuff so im still learning whats up with the maps and all that so bare with me.
thanks in advance

I have a t4 cx racing manifold that im guna be using but what ive been reading the t3 are too rescrictive and i dont know what ar size to go with if i were to order a new hotside
I am running a T4 divided .84 AR housing with a GT3574R turbo. I am at higher altitude so the boost threshold is higher than sea level guys. I have run the turbo to 17PSI up here and it didn't choke out the top end (I have a small street port). We have another guy here running a T3 GT35 on a .82 A/R housing but I still need to tune it. his first impression at 10PSI was WOW its awesome (he has a large port). I can't comment too much since I haven't ridden in it yet. We have another guy who runs a GT3574 with stock ports and I tuned his car to 12PSI, going higher soon. the car didn't choke out at all.
I like the smaller AR housings for street cars, its ok if it chokes the top end a little bit while giving you a wider, easier to drive powerband.
