gt35r

the gt35r is now avaiable with a t4 on center undivided exhaust housing.

Sounds like a downgrade to me.

Isn’t that what everybody that talks about the turbo lacking, is a big enough inlet to really let it breathe?

and thats what stops it from really putting out more than 500.

what will be the cons of having a T4 inlet?

Sounds like a GT40 to me. Though the GT40 is a divided turbo. That seems to be the only difference. Maybe it's just me though.

Yeah, sounds like going backwards. The turbine housing is used for Ag, also kit builders because of the outlet design. Flow is not as good with this style of housing, but if you need it, I can get it.

that sort of t4 housing is junk..the efficiancy drops.

Why do you need more than 500 hp. Have you driven a rotary car with that much power??

mines only got like 250 at the wheels and it pulls nearly 11 second quarter mile times!

I think people are just to number crazy.

250 at the ground and you're running 11 sec 1/4's??

Sorry bro, but I don't see that happening AT ALL. I have seen 400whp 7's with good drivers that couldn't get that low. Sorry to be a dick, but don't try and lie to people on this forum, go to Honda Tech.

Car 85 FB s model
read a little more before you "be a dick". 250rwhp + 2200lbs = high 11sec 1/4mi.

ontopic: undivided? blah. i'd stick with the t3 housing.

Thanks for the defence bro!

My 85 FB S (base model) weights just over 2000lbs and makes about 250whp.

certainly

yeah. i think a 13B lends itself perfectly to a divided housing, for obvious reasons.

Hey, is the turbo you speak of ball-bearing? i saw a t4/gt35r hybrid somewhere (maybe even in this section?) that was non-ball bearing, with a regular t4 housing and a non-bb CHRA.

its a BB turbo. ATP turbo is selling them.
I really wish the 35r was divided but garret seems to like undivided housings =(

You have to admit though if what garret claims is true a standard t3/t4 35r is awsome
15lbs of boost at 3400rpms and capable of 500-600hp

If only it was divided!! Well I guess nothing in the world is perfect.

yep.

Yeah, 15psi@3400rpm is rockin', but you'd have to push it a lot to hit 500rwhp.

i guess undivided is better for the majority of garrett's customers. or maybe they know something we do not.

GT35R is almost the perfect street 13B turbo. So close, heh.
