GT3540 T3 flange compared to t4 or buy gt40?
I've got a GT3540R but with a T3 flange and .7A/R housing. Should I sell it to pay extra and get a T4 version or is there not that much of a difference? Or what about a GT40R? It's an s5 engine with S4 TB and OMP with aviation seals, a large streetport, and everything but a FMIC and turbo. Oh yeah, have a 3rd gen oiling system as well. I was wondering how much difference between the flanges and also how much difference as far as spool up between a 35/40 and a 40 straight up? Also, anyone know where to get a deal on a FMIC?
Get with Sean at A-Spec Tuning. If I remember correctly you can send him your turbo and he can convert it to a T4 hotside and a few other things too. His name on here is ZeroR. Hope that helps some.

They can do pretty much anything you want, he even has a new rs turbine wheel he has been putting on them, but he has to machine the housing for it to fit, just ask, he will be happy to tell you what is available.
I'd definately talk to Sean and go with a bigger housing. A .70 T3 is way too small for a rotary. I ran a 1.06 T3 before the T4 was available. BTW Sean, I was in Chitown a few weeks ago. Meant to stop by but the now ex was being bitchy so I never got a chance.
