GT35/40R Power?

I was curious what kind of power I should expect to see out of a GT35/40R setup. The turbo is a T4 .84 hotside. I have heard anywhere from 450hp-600hp depending on setup. I was fairly sure it could make 450hp on a good tune and a pretty basic setup.

Anyone else running this turbo? What kind of power are you guys seeing out of it?

I was told the 1.06 size turbo was for better spool and less top end and that the .84 was for better top end little slower spool? Any truth to this or do I haev my numbers mixed up?

there are a lot of people running that turbo on here. try a few searches and i'm sure you'll get your answer. also, there's a sticky at the top of this thread, try paging through there or searching within the thread....i'm sure there's a few gt35/40r setups.

numbers are backwards...smaller A/r gives quicker response but chokes at top end. opposite for larger A/r.

honestly, you should be looking at MAX, with a nice port, close to 500whp. more realistically, you should be around the 430whp range with a proper set up.

300-350rwhp with .85
350-400rwhp with 1.06
1bar of boost with sufficient fuel.
Expect less with a stock/non ported block.

35/40, the 1.06 is a T3 frame and the .84 is a t4. In that case the .84 should flow more and have a little bit better top and and slightly longer spool.
