GT35/40 Help

Hi all from wet and miserable England.
I have a gt35/40 kit on a large street ported rebuilt engine. I have just had it mapped by Pip at WGT who is the most respected tuner in the UK and he can only get 345atw and it wont go over 1bar.
Spec of the car.
97 type RSR.
LARGE STREET PORT
T3 GT35/40 TURBO AR.82
LARGE BORE MANIFOLD/ 3INCH DP
TIAL WASTEGATE
STRAIGHT THROUGH 3INCH EXHAUST.
APEXI GT INTERCOOLER
RON DAVIS RACING RAD
XCESSIVE LIM
ALL FUELING UPRATED
TWIN SPARK
AQUAMIST HSF5 WI
and many more mods.

Below are the map readouts.

The main thing i am thinking is, does it need a AR .106 instead of the .82. or do you think its bad porting. What do you all think.

what do you mean by GT35/40 kit exactly?

Also, dynapacks read 10-15% lower than Dynojets. I have personally dyno'd my car at a dynojet and a dynapack and have seen a 10% difference. So that puts you in the 380's, which isn't that bad, certainly not "wtf is wrong with my car" bad.

.82 is a small for a large streetport. i made 379 on stock ports with a gt 35/40 1.06 ar at 15psi no water injection or twin power.

The car will not red line. As soon as you get high revs it splutters and feels flat so you have to change gear. Dont get me wrong it goes like hell but it just doesn't fell right at high revs.

I second this, could be any number of things, with some more data it will be easier to figure out the exact problem though.

Sry i only have the map readouts. Could it be the wastgate because when your near to the redline there's a spluttering coming from that area.

A gt35/40 is the old school name for a 35r

typically 35/40 refers to a t3 exhaust housing.

That's true, cause when they called em that t4 housings weren't available for 35r's yet.

sounds like you could be having ignition breakup. But like others have stated it could be any number of things. Water and an overly rich mixture can make it harder to ignite.

I guess you mean that you have a HKS Twin Power when you listed "twin spark" correct?

I'm with Dudemaaanownsanrx7 /Brent Vogl , sounds like you need better spark.

Yup, I had similar high rpm issues for a bit before installing my HKS twin power. Problem solved

The twin power isn't supposed to be used with non resistor plugs. The description given for the plugs does not make it clear if they are resistor or not. Also how old are they? Do you have an exact model number for them? You might try a set of new br10eix's they aren't very expensive, just to see if that's your issue. If that doesnt help you can try bypassing the twin power.

What did the dude tuning it say about the poor results?? Love the way these guys take your money & send you out the door with poor results & no ideas on whats going on.

See he had a correction factor of 1.18 on the dyno to so divide your result by 1.18 to get the true rear wheel hp.
