Alex, are you sure it's the waste gate diaphragm? Did you pressure test it to see if it was leaking...?

I'm pretty sure, diconnected all lines to the wastegate so I can run off the spring and I still get a spike at 1.2 bar@ half throttle. I have a new .80 spring in it with the tension screw all the way out. I will pressure test it tomorrow to be 100% sure.

^ It's always better to pressure test wastegates before you buy new diaphragms. Sometimes the valve retainer nut gets loose inside...

Take it apart and look at the diaphragm if you haven't already done so. I have seen them tear on several occasions with that particular wastegate. I recently replaced one for a customer. If you need it I can look up where I ordered it from.

^There's no need to take it apart it it holds air pressure from a gun. If it leaks you replace it.
If you're going to take it apart the easiest way to check for a tear is to hold it over a light and go over it... If you see light or a strange light line it's time for a new one!

Actually there is. The diaphragm will deteriorate and develop small cracks before it lets go completely. I have repaired about 3 of these so far. I learned this along time ago when taking one apart for ceramic coating. It still worked fine before that but it was only a matter a time before it would let go, and chances are it would be on boost. Easy way to blow a motor.
