Greddy TD07 Turbo Too small?

I have been told by a few people that the Greddy(mitsu) TD07-18A Turbocharger is too small for our cars? and yet I have been told it is just fine, Now I am looking for the final definition I cannot find any info, or compressor maps on this any where, it is kind of anoying! Any and or all help would be appreciated,
Yes I have everything required to support this! I would have to make the turbo manifold, that is it.
Also whast size WG would I need 46-50?
Thanks
Jeffrey

I used the search function and got more results than even I could shake a stick at (and trust me, I can shake a pretty big stick!)

Here's a few of them off the first handle of results...
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...highlight=TD07 <-- someone posted dyno results and info

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...highlight=TD07 <-- more info

those are both 25G hotsides, mine is an 18a, I want to konw if the 18a is controllable, and what kind of power it will make!
But thanks for the links although I already read them. I had already searched prior to creating the thread.

The 25G and 18A you are talking about is the compressor not the turbine wheel. I think maxthe7man has one with the 18A compressor, maybe shoot him a PM for more info.

are you certain because everything I have found to date would indicate otherwise. maybe I am misreading it all but I don't think so.

alright,
well thanks for the clarification then,
That would just mean that the turbo should be easily controlled right? I mean the compressor is farily large, it is larger than my t04b. So this should be able to make some fairly respectable numbers?
Any estimations?

How about posting some pictures of the turbine. What is the A/R front and rear and so on. You could have a TD07 18A with a #10 exhaust side and it will be too small for a rotary.

Is it a TD07H? SH? I would not expect much over 400hp from the turbine you are describing.

There should be a number casted in the turbine housing. Right where the exhaust enters it. Should be a two digit number, can you tell us what it is? I wish maxthe7man would reply to this thread, he has a turbo that looks a lot like yours.

it is larger than my t04b, so it isn't all that tiny, but again the question at hand is, Will it make good controllable power?

Not that I wish to hijack your thread but I have a Mitsubishi td07-8 without a turbine housing. Anyone know what size housing will fit and where I can locate one?

I don't know a whole lot about how greddy and MHI names their turbos but there is a guy on here that uses the greddy TD06 kit and makes 400HP so logically I would tend to think your turbo would be a bit more powerful than that one. The t04Bs that i have use a 50mm compressor wheel and the wheel on your turbo looks about the same size. Can you measure the wheel? Its funny, it looks like it has a really big housing with a really small wheel. If you're gonna measure get the turbine size too. Why would you think the power would be uncontrollable?

I can see all those number/letters but how about on the inside of the turbine housing? Right where the exhaust gas goes into the turbo. Should be a two digit # casted into it. On mine it's a 17 which means 17cm turbine housing.

setzep, I cannot find that number, I thoroughly checked the turbine housing. I took a good look on the inside, there was nothing.

Compressor inlet: 62.5mm
Compressor outlet: 53.0mm
Top part of the compressor blades: 45.0mm
Turbine outlet: 66.0mm
Model Number: 49175-00640

here is the compressor map of a td05-18g, now tell me what you may think I can get with a td07-18a?
I am just toying with the idea right now so any interpretations would greatly be appreciated.

Hmm, it looks smaller than my T-78. I know the compressor housing is smaller for certain. I'll have to compare them more closely. Anyone else have info to share?

What Down Pipe is used with the TD07-18A

What Down Pipe is used with the Non greddy T78? (TD07-18A) Not 4 bolt Not V-Band
What Down Pipe is used with the non greddy T78= TD07/TD08? (TD07-18A TD07) I have it and its not a 4 bolt. What will fit? Its model number TD07-18A TD07 turbine with TD08 compressor. It came with snap ring I think, something like it but its not v band and not 4 bolt.

Can anyone help?
