GReddy T-88 Turbo Kit

Would this kit give me 400+hp? Also would it make me run into the 11s? Thanks!

The T88 is capable of much more than 400hp, I hope you like turbo lag though. You can run much faster than 11's with supporting equip. on that turbo, hell you can run 11's on stock twins.

Well it depends on a lot of things (tires you are running, driving ability, what supporting equipment you have on the car, air temp/track condition that day).. but generally I would say 14-15psi on a ported motor.

The Greddy T88 can enable to 13B to product over 600hp no problems.
I'm currently running a Garrett spec T66 T4 turbo with a 45mm waste gate on my 13B and running 12 psi it's producing 505 hp at the engine and 300 hp at the wheels.
On 15 psi it produces 350 hp at the wheels with 1800 Lb of torque.
It's a race preped engine with bigger injectors, mild porting, extra dowlles. Pac Performance build the engine.

On C16 race fuel we were able to produce 545 hp at the wheels on 22 psi. So you can imagine how much power the engine is producing.

Regarding 1/4 mile times. I've raced it twice.
Running 12psi I got 12.5 @110 mph, 2.0 60ft,
On 15psi I got 11.5 @ 118 mph, 1.6 60ft.
A friend with the same setup has been able to get 10.7 @122 mph but he has 4.3 final drive in the diff which helped.

No-one here in Australia has been able to get 11 sec passes from twin turbos. I'd like to see that.

Surprised to hear that. In the states we've seen countless twin turbo'd cars run mid to high 11's. It's well know that using the popular bolt-ons at 14-15 psi will net around 350 rwhp and easily propel a third gen into the mid 11's with slicks. Low 12's or high 11's on street tires. All times are very driver dependant of course, those mentioned here are for good drivers.

In the US i believe someone even got into the 10s on the stock twins..

I think 1800 lbs. of torque must be a typo. There is no way!

It was a typo. I know the rear wheel hp should have been 350hp not 300 hp.
Here's the dyno sheet showing torque etc.
I was told that the engine was producing 505 on 15 psi.
Well, it could be wrong. I don't really care, all the talk is at the back wheels anyway.

I tried attaching the dyno sheet file but keeps timing out.
You can check my car out at this link.

Alright, if you want to be a real racer go with the T88. That is what have and I love it. Mind you that I don't do much dead stop drag racing (I tend to race more on the highway), but turbo lag is an issue. I don't get full boost till about 4000-4500 rpm. But nos or exhast porting can help that. But the power increases are amazing. One word of advise, this conversion isn't cheap. You will need fuel, and getting a standalone ecu is a must. But when all said and done, you can show off you massive turbo, and be able to post huge hp numbers.

If all you want is 400-475 rwhp about, then the T88 is not the best choice for you. Get a smaller turbo which spools up much faster and is definitely capaple of those numbers. I suggest the GT35/40 as a perfect choice for you - it should make power in that range with about 14-20 psi (streetported).

I still don't believe 1800 ft/lbs is possible, dyno sheet or not. That must be a misprint or the scale is off or something. Torque is basically a function of the levers, i.e. the stroke and number of them on the e-shaft/crankshaft. Rotories are WAY to short and two few to produce disproportional numbers like that. I don't think a Buick GN is even capable of ratios like that.

There is no possible way i see that car making more torque then HP..

If it is making 350RWHP torque is probably ~300ft/tq...

1800 ft/lbs... You would be in the 4 5 6 second 1/4 mile, which I don't believe you are.

People are saying ft/lb. I don't think it's ft.
Must be a different conversion of some like. I'll ask the dyno owner what the measurement is.

Nope, no 4,5 or 6 sec passes from me!

Well, knowing Pac Performance, that car is probably using a Ford 9" rear end. They like to put 20B's in their old rotary drag cars, so it could be that. Could also be a 13B of course. www.pacperformance.com.au

A lot of cars can make more torque than hp, the supra does it all the time.

Yeah, but how many CARS make SIX TIMES the torque they do HP? Come on, 1800 ft-lbs? You realise a stock 13B twin turbo makes less than 200 right?

I'm not saying that I believe it is making 1800 ft/lbs, I am just saying that there are cars out there that do make more torque and hp.

There are cars that are doing that, I had a 7M-GTE modified that was making almost 400ft/lbs and 350hp. But that was an I-6 with a long stroke, easy to make torque.. you won't see torque numbers like that coming from a rotary or an I-4. Now a turbo diesel, GOBS of torque..

Torque at the wheels is not the same thing as torque at the flywheel. Consider the physics, you need to know rpm, which gear and rear end ratio to judge the number.
