Hey guys,

Anyone have any experience with this new unit....basically the im having is it won't go past 25psi. Been through the book countless times already and been doing the trial and error way now for bout an hour and no luck. Car is at shop rite now so any immediate response will be very helpful. Thanks.

Thats an understatement... We basically gave up messing with it. So to all you out there i wouldn't recommend the new Greddy unit its as useful as the old profec A. You are better off getting the home depot type at least that way you know it will work on one setting. And of course forget about getting any help from Greddy with any of their products.

Yeah the old profec b works fine, the guy actually had one on the car but the problem he had with it was that it also could not go past 25psi but that was cause of the design of the old profec b that was its limit. The new one, the first thing they advertise is that it goes up to 43.5psi, well i think they lost something in the translation in terms of how to install or whatever....eg one the many time going through the manual it said to clear one of the settings you have to press the "set" button 5 times....nothing but when you press the "mode" button 5 times it works.....
The thing that gets me is the lack of support and concern that is shown by Greddy, you would think with so many people using their products they would be better.

Did you take the cap out of the spare hole in the stepper motor?

You also have to set the wastegate to open wich is the set gain function. it is set stock at 0.00. So you have to set it to something like 1.75 to be close to 25psi.

I finally have mine where it controls boost pretty well. On fast spooling turbos, you have to turn the gain way down as well as lower the set gain so the wastegate opens sooner. Also, what is your wastegate spring? If its very light, then you might have problems getting that much boost.

I thought the start boost was the set the wastegate to open?

Yes the cap was removed. We even tried plugging it to see if it made a difference. Im glad to hear that some of you got it to work for you. But with the 4 of us that was there we could not get it. Unfortunately i can't go and try what was suggested (although i think it was done but can't remember) because the car that its on now has bigger problems, the oil pump decided to take a **** so maybe after he gets that sorted out then we can go back to playing with the boost controller.
Thanks for you time and advice.
