going single or rebuilt, that is the question
now in december i have some money to put into my rx7. i am all ready pushing 290whp on stock ports with stock seq. twins. my mods include power fc, v mount intercooler, walbro pump, downpipe, catback, midpipe, intake, etc...don't when was the motor las rebuilt. has about 70k miles.
the question is should i rebuild and streetported with the stock turbos hoping for 330-340whp or
put a t04r (.63 ar),manifold,550-1600cc injectors,rails,clips,fuel regulator @ 15psi hoping for 350whp.
which should i do first? my engine feels fine, haven't done a compression test . both single and rebuild are in my plans , only want to know which should i do first

you can make 350whp on stock turbos. just need more fuel. a to4r is way over kill for that kind or goal and that hotside would be way too small for a rotary.
but to answer your question, go single at the time you do the rebuild. wouldnt you hate to go single with the old engine, throw a seal, and destroy your nice new turbo?

what kind of compression i am looking for? if the compression is within an acceptable range (i think above 80) then it would be over kill to rebuild it
