Take a look at my vacuum hose diagram here:

http://www.zeroglabs.com/rx7/reference.htm

Now that you see that... I'll go over how to handle each item when you're going single turbo.

A) Pressure Regulator Control - This has some functions with the stock ecu controlling fuel pressure for hot startup and other special conditions. This is really a stupid system and you can just eliminate it. Remove the solenoid. You MUST connect the hose directly from the nipple on the manifold to the fuel pressure regulator. This is IMPORTANT so that your fuel pressure regulator will increase the fuel pressure when your boost increases.

B) Relief 1 - Part of the emissions control system with the ACV (Air Control Valve). Buy a block-off plate for the ACV, throw it in the trash, and get rid of the solenoid and all the hoses.

C) Switching - Same as for (B)

D) EGR Solenoid - Another completely worthless system. Get a block off plate for the EGR valve, remove the valve. Remove the vacuum hoses, remove the solenoid, and cap off the connection at the intake manifold.

E) Turbo Control - Part of the stock twin turbo system. Remove the solenoid and the hoses.

F) Charge Control - Same as for (E)

G) Double Throttle - This system applies vacuum to the double throttle control actuator and will close off part of the intake when the engine is idling or the engine is cold. You really don't need this system and many people remove it. If you want to remove it, just take out the hoses and the solenoid.

H) Charge Relief - Same as for (E)

I) Wastegate Control - Same as for (E)

J) Turbo Precontrol - Same as for (E)

Remove the Pressure Chamber

Remove the Vacuum Chamber

Remove all metal pipes for the Rat's Nest, but you will need to keep the metal frame because it has the metal fuel lines attached. If you are making all new fuel lines, you can get rid of the frame also.

Remove the bundle of pipes going between the primary turbo and the top of the engine.

This will be helpful. Stupid question because I'm not a mechanic. I'm just about finishing up an auto to manual swap. Should I get the car running first with the stock setup or should I just put in the single turbo and do away with the rats nest?
