NY Going from GTX4294R to GT3794R OR ...?

i want to upgrade, or downgrade rather, my GTX4294R with the tial housing. want to modify my manifold the least and have a tial housing given the ease of installation and the little space they take.

my freaking gtx wont wake up until it sees 28+ psi. it has the potential to make great power but at the boost levels i want it, i m not doing much

purpose, RESPONSE with boost levels up to 23-24lb MAX and make decent power

i came across the FP gt3794R HTA which can use the 35R housing.

I was wondering if anyone used it. If there are any dynocharts available or any more information. I dont want to be the test mule and to be the one to say, yeah that was also a bad turbo selection

from my testing i have noticed ALL billet style turbos really dont wake up until past 20psi. i made 375whp at 18psi on my billet 6765 and made 407whp on my 35r at 16psi with similar exhaust etc.

as for the hta turbos i was looking into trying one out as well. the only downfall is that they are geared around evo 4 cyl motors so the turbine to compressor wheels are a good amount gapped in size.

if boost response is not a big issue i would go with a gt4094r. that will make good power in the low 20's for boost.

response is an issue unfortunately due to the new race track. (all closed turns)

i want to keep the tial houing configuration so gt4094 is really not an ideal option

hence the decision for the gt3794HTA
