Looking to purchase a divided ewg turbo manifold for my Fc. I see two very nice pieces on the market with the Glease & Turblown manifolds. I haven't seen much comparison between these two. I'm sure they are both very nice, and both are pretty similar in price with the Glease manifold being a little cheaper. Any opinions on which one I should go with? Any pros or cons with either? I'm guessing I will be satisfied with either.

if you can wait cast EWG are on group buy... currently being developed.

if you jump on board now they are almost at cheap as the IWG cast...

i dont think there is anything better then cast... if you can't wait gleasemen have nice billet collectors which serve some of the functions of using cast(smooth flow), at a higher cost.

well im getting it for my fc, and will report back.

 

I emailed turblown yesterday about using an fd manifold on my fc. They said it was completely different and would work. I had a chance to pick up a slightly used fd manifold of theirs.

 

you mean it's completely different, but it would work... the engrish is a bit confusing

WELL.. i wonder what i will have to modify... engines A is already back and down 2 inches.. could do the same or more i suppose.

theres more room in the engine bay in and FC, and i can cut weld any of the water pump stuff if thats the issue, eh..not worried.

 

It's the wastegate locations that aren't interchangeable between the engine bays of an FD and an FC. Any questions, ask away.

 

i dunno... can you show me your fc vs your fd verisons? here is turblowns, .. wastegates look about the same, but the turbo mount is higher on the fc.




for me the wastegates wont be mounted there, they will be with.. well.. else where and piping will go back to the flanges for the W/gs

 

To clarify that is our long runner FC above.

We also make a short runner FC unit;

FC3S Rx7 Short Twinscroll Turbo Manifold

The short runner will work better in every scenario, it just will not fit big turbochargers.

I would venture to say the quantity of these FC manifolds means you probably won't be doing them in cast.... because i want to use two turbos with the manifold i though fully cast be a best option. do you think the long cast ewg will at least fit some 90*s at the wastegate flanges i was thinking of rear mounting the second turbo if i can message this setup into another chassis...
