Garrett Turbo rebuild or replace with something new
Took my 35 R to a rebuilder and the bearing is bad,it got hot and I'm wondering if I should rebuild for $950 or go with something else ? (a brand new 35 R is only $1500)
My second concern is to make sure the oil pump and water pump is up to snuff,I,m wondering if a newly mounted V mount would affect anything at all?
Thanks.

I had a good conversation with Garretts Director of communications after I got different pricing and advice from Garretts own referred rebuilders and was able to negotiate it down to $650 with the shop in my own city,Chris at Columbus Diesel came through.
BTW I was able to qualify for the "Garrett rebuild program" where essentially they give you a new chra,it seems the program is pretty lenient, one vendor said he may refuse 1 in a hundred if it had been obviously abused.Mine "looked" fine without excessive play
Up until yesterday I was clueless I had a problem with the turbo I was blowing smoke when I boosted hard we have changed a lot of parts fixing this n that over the last few years that it wasn't apparent as everything felt and looked good, apparently the bearing is worn through being overheated so I need to check into that.
Lastly there is a vendor in the Connecticut selling a center section for a 35R for $350 plus shipping and was possibly going to get it and diy Ill post a link up if anyone wants it as thats less than cost.

Contact Force Performance about redoing it along with replacing the stock compressor with one of their HTA billet improved compressor wheels.
Better than the Garret GTX wheel. The housing is also machined into an anti-lag housing.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
We should talk about your plumbing to the GT35R, because there's something wrong here.
They're water and oil cooled. Both should be -6AN if lengths are longer than 18", otherwise Water should always be -6AN, Oil can be -4AN. I believe these Garrett Units also use a 0.040" orifice oil restrictor for a standard reciprocating engine to generate 40-45psi entrance pressure to the turbo at Maximum Engine RPM. Since a Rotary Engine is generating a LOT more pressure than that, you may want to call Garrett and see what your 100+psi Rotary Oil Pressure needs in regards to oil restrictor size.
Common sizes include anywhere from 0.035" to 0.075". They'll let you know.
Cheers,
Ryan
