Garrett T3/60-1 W/.48 A/R turbine

I'm going to be tackling the TII swap into my s4 this summer. Purchasing engine and trans from fc3s, going to be rebuilt, streetported, 80psi OPR, stock 2mm 3 piece seals. I'm looking at turbos, new territory for me when it comes to different turbines, etc, and how the effect turbo performance (ie lag, etc). I was looking at the Garrett T3/60-1. I'm looking for something that will work for street/strip, moderate spool up time, and something that can run moderate boost levels efficiently.

Do you think this will work.......I'm going to be using my never before tuning skills with an E6k most likely. Setup..

13BT rebuilt, ported
stock primaries, 1600cc secondaries
E6K
Greddy FMIC

Basically any help, links reccomendations, to any turbo that would work with me. high 300rwhp to low 400rwhp is my goal. Thanks.

I'm also looking at these T4 turbos:

-T4/60-1 w/ .70 turbine
http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/gart0t4w70tu.html

-T4/60-1 w/.84 turbine
http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/gart0t4w84ar.html

-T4/60-1 w/.96 turbine
http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/gatot96ar.html

Input on which will be better for street/strip...the "middle ground" turbo is the T4/60-1 w/ .70 turbine isnt it? How much of a difference in spool up and effience between them. Thanks a ton.

The T3 and T4 will require a different exhuast manifold, so decide that first. The 60-1 w/.96 turbine is a proven 400 rw maker with decent spool.

Are you wanting boost at idle? Jesus

There should be a law that states a turbo on a rotor should come with a 1.0 or larger exhaust housing!

Get a GT35/40 with 1.06 exhaust housing

I have a T3 60-1 .82 a/r stage 3 wheel. At 19-20psi the car did 11.61 at 124.89mph last weekend. I also bored the exhaust side of the turbo for better flow..?? With this turbo the car does not feel like a turbocharged rotary. 9.4 rotors. No lag at all. I get 15-17psi in the middle of first gear. If you go with a .48a/r I also think you may get boost at idle. I also purchased my turbo from cheapturbo.com. Get the .82 a/r with the stage 5 wheel or the 1.06 a/r with the stage 3 wheel. That is the smallest I would suggest. When I bought my turbo from them they did not have the above setups.
I do drive the car on the streets on the weekends and to work once or twice a week, 20 mile one way.

A link to some pictures and time slips are on my profile page. Please dont laugh at the back yard work. I am not to interested in the looks or how long the motor will last, just the power. I drive the car to the track, 30 miles round trip from the house. last week I ran Wen, Fri, Sat and Sun. I average 5-6 run down the 1/4 mile everytime I go. Useing the 9.4 rotors was a money issue. TurboII rotors are hard to find, N/A motors are everywhere for allot less.
