garret quality?

Any good?

They seem to be at a reasonable price, im talking the NON-gt line. I just saw that turbonetics post and I thought that company was of higher quality than garret.

Any input?

thx

They are one of the biggest and best in the industry for a reason. Pretty much the standard in turbos. The old T-Series still performs great and their GT series is top of the line with computer aided design.

Most turbos you'll buy are made by Garrett or based on a Garrett designs.

Turbonetics, Innovative turbo Systems, Performance Turbo (PT), Majestic, Turbo XS, Older Borg Warner (new ones are kkk based now), AiResearch, are ALL Garrett based turbo suppliers/rebuilders/retailers. Some have their very own proprietary housings, turbines, compressors, and some even have their own center sections (Turbonetics with its single angular ceramic thrust ball bearing, Innovative with its dual full floating ceramic ball bearing).

HI garrett started as air reseach in 1951 money put up by US government for caterpilar to research econmicle (cheap) forced induction for diesel engines, detroit was using blowers, they used gas turbine technology, it worked. we have come a long way ,any way GARRETT is the world leader in turbocharger technology. even tho the patent was taken out in 1909 by a swiss guy. I trust them
