May Turbonetics ROT IN HELL

Alright here is the deal I aquired a 93 rx7 with a big single turbo all the bolt ons and a blown up motor. Went to atkins to have the motor rebuilt, went to corksport for a new clutch and to have my injectors sized and cleaned and to have my turbo rebuilt. They sent it off to turbonetics to be rebuilt, 3 weeks later turbonetics still hasnt got it done. They tried for another week and a half to get it shipped to me and said it was done. It finally show's up at corksport and turbonetics neglected to rebuild the damn thing!!! OVER A MONTH AND THEY COULDNT REBUILT IT!!! Corksport has been trying like hell to get everything done and turbonetics dropped the ball EVERY TIME. They lost my business for life, AND I BREAK ALOT OF CRAP!!!

Thank you turbonetics for makeing me drive my mustang for a extra 2 months, after I just sank 15k+ into my new car!!!

Yeah, they suck ***. I would send it to majestic in waco or turbochargers.com in houston. Both are good and fast. PRECISION TURBO IS THE BEST IV'E SEEN BUT THEY TAKE A LONG
TIME.

A LONG time ago, when TURDBONETICS came out with their "ceramic ball bearing" stuff. 2 out of the 3 turbos that customers purchased through me failed, and died quickly (like 30 minutes after installation). These were all 930's (turbo 911s), and the customers were MEGA pissed. Turdbonetics claimed that the install was faulty, overboost, someone dropped it, just about everything they could claim to get out of it.

After finding no other solution, my credit card company handled it nicely for me. Obviously, I dispise TURDbonetics as much, if not more than you.

Yeah, this isn't the first time I've heard about people complain about this crap with them. Did they give you a reason why they didn't do anything with?

Turbonetics !!!! Plain CRAP !!!!

The only thing I get from them is their turbo accessories.....

I had their turbos fail within months from installing them.......WHY???? they always blame the return line or other.

I had Precision rebuild their turbos and they always mention.......
QUALITY CONTROL !!!!

Either way.....Precision all the way for me.

Yea Turbonetics rep has gone way down.

Still, if its a Precision turbo why wasnt it sent to Precision in the first place??? I dont know that Turbonetics will rebuild turbos that arent thier own. If they dont, they were probably wondering what the hell a Precision turbo was doing there.

do not,i repeat.do not send your turbo to turbochargers.com.turbochargers.com has screwed everyone on the houston area.people that live in houston dont even use them.one of my friends bought a factory mitsubishi td05-16g.which was supposed to have never been touched by turbochargers.com.the day we got it we installed it(yes i know how to replace a turbo).we logged about 10miles on the car and then when we got back from the initial test drive my friend threw a rev.and we heard a loud(very loud) cling(metal on metal).this was a turbo that was supposed to come from mitsubishi without being touched.when we pulled the intake/maf off the turbo had huge amounts of play in the comp. wheel.so much that the wheel destroyed itself up against the housing.when we went to get it warrenteed all we got was excuses.and how they wouldnt take any responsibility for it.he(david the owner) said once it is on the car it doesnt matter if they did build it wrong, they are going to fix it.but when we sent it off to forced performance(they are awsome,BTW)they cam back and said that the turbo looks as tho it was built with scraps.literally nothing was useable except the turbine housing.so beware of turbochargers.com

I had a turbocharger overhauled for a friend through www.turbochargers.com and it has no issues at all.

I bought a T70 from them brand new, first off , it came with a used turbine housing , I had asked for a 1.15 and I got a 1.32 , then whilst checking out the unit befor installing it , I gave the wheel a twirl with my fingers ,and heard a light metallic sound , like a slight metal to metal contact . After removing the compressor cover there was a mark on the inside of the comp. housing where the wheel WAS actually rubbing on it. A few of the compressor bolt holes were also cracked , suggesting that someone over tightened the bolts causing the housing to over compress the o ring and make contact with the wheel I called him up and he said that the unit was shipped out with the bolts loose to allow the turbo to be clocked . He sent me two new turbine housings to make up for all that .
After a friend and me fixed that problem , I installed the turbo and it ran good for about a month , after which it just stopped !!. I gave the motor a rev and I heard a loud metalic sound come from the motor , after this there was no boost , when I checked the turbo the wheel had jammed up against the housing and had "locked up". I called Jaime (the J in MJM) and he refused to do anything , he said that he doesn't warrant performance parts . My friend and me pulled the turbo apart and found that one of the little clips that keep the bearings in place was missing , the one on the compressors end , so the bearing had moved from where it was supposed to be and ended up on the opposite end , leaving the compressor side to move around. I called them back and told them what we found , he said that that was impossible and he personally checks each unit before they are shipped out ! . So where the **** did the retaining clip go ??, I never received anything from them , I had to fix the turbo myself at majestic .
