Fuel system questions

My setup is as follows

Apexi Rx6
Greddy 2 row
Power Fc
Fluidyne radiator
non resonaited mid-pipe
Greddy SP exhaust
greddy Profec B Spec 2 controller
hks twin power ignition
unorthodox pulleys

Ive almost completed the installation of the above listed mods on my single turbo conversion. The only thing Ive yet to install is the fuel syestem. Im shooting for 400hp under 15lbs of boost. Ive been told send the secondarys to RC and get them bored out. It would defently be the easist. But then alot of people tell me 1300's fail and they suck. What fuel system should I get to keep the duty cycle under 85%. Just cant decide. Thanks

kgparts 1680's cc and there rail. Then youll need to get a aftermarket fpr. Thats the setup im running and im keeping the stock 550's. You could never has enough fuel. Ive also heard bad things about bored out injectors and ive also heard good. I believe its all about the condition and mileage on the injector that determines if it is going to fail or not.

There is a group buy going on for KGParts on the fuel system you probably want to run.

Since you are not emissions legal anymore anyway, I would definitely go with an aftermarket rail with the 1600s.

Agree with the above recommendations. I would get an aftermarket secondary rail, 1600s, FPR, and upgraded fuel pump. If it were me, I would upgrade lines to stainless while you're at it.

Yes it is, for a stock ported motor. And also far-fetched on our ****-water 91 octane, at least if you want a safe tune.

not sure why some people think 400 hp at 15 psi not possible with rx6 ive seen numerous dyno charts between 390rwhp and 420rwhp at 13-14psi here is a dyno chart @18 psi.

Good Luck

I don't think you will make much over 400+ hp at 15psi. Probably more like a quick spooling 375. (Which is still very respectable)

Perhaps you have seen numbers from an Rx-6B?

I'm going to be installing the same turbo as well, on a new engine with large ports. From everything I have read, 18PSI is quite a bit for these turbos, and things may start to get really hot that high, and also move out of the turbos efficiency range. Hopefully your two row will handle the intake temps.

I think Rynbergs comment about only having 91 is very important too, I would be afraid to run 15psi on 91! Have you considered water injection?

Good luck, and make sure to post your results!

For what it's worth, my 1300cc RC Engineering secondaries have never given me any problems.

As stated above, if you have the 'regular' rx-6, I doubt you'll make it to 400 at 15. The hotside on that turbo is very tiny, and I have driven three cars now with that turbo at about 15 psi and there is no way in hell it felt like 400 to the ground. Actually, it kinda reminded me of stock seq twins---responsive, but ran out of steam towards redline.

We didn't say it wasn't possible. We said that on stock ports and 91 octane, it would not be feasible with a SAFE tune.

400 hp is hopeful but not sure of the reality of it. I will be happy anywhere in the upper 350's or so. I got this kit becasue I wanted a fun drivable car that would'nt push my mazduh reman to the edge. I will post some numbers when I get them. Thanks again for all the help guys.

Cheuk in Seoul made over 400 to the wheels with his RX6 a long time ago. The norm is usually 360-380 rwhp at that boost level.
