fuel pump walbro 255lph or nipodenso

Does anybody have a walbro fuel pump? if so how reliable is it. I don't know wether to spend the money for the nipodenso when I'm going to get the same performance. I guess it's piece of mind.

I know this is not related to rotaries, but the guys on the supraforum usually upgrade their stock supra pumps for the 255 walbro as an upgrade.

Must mean something if they are switching out their stock (Nippo or supra pump) for the walbro.

I'm using it as well. I highly recommend the "low" pressure model. It will flow plenty. They just use a heavier spring to "increase" the flow a little in the high pressure version. IMO this burns up the motor. Could be wrong but I've had good luck with mine and I've heard of other's that haven't.

Guys, I'm sure we all heard the saying, "you get what you pay for". Just a little advice. They're priced @ $90 for a reason.

Yea, the reason is its a universal pump that thousands of cars can run instead of it being designed for a spacific application. Everyone from RX7, to DSM, to Supra, to Mustangs, to z28 and so on and so on can use the Walbro High Flow pump. When your selling a million of them a year you can lower your prices

Its because the walbro only support 400-500 HP.

How much more does a Walbro flow than a stock FD pump flow?

I plan on eventually running two of them in parallel, its still cheaper than buying one of the huge pumps that cost $400+.
