Spearco -- sorry, I have no personal experience.
But from my research and comments I've read, seems pretty good (and reasonably priced). That's what I'll be spending my money on shortly.

I run the old style greddy 3 row frontmount. I think you will find most of the major brands, Greddy, Apexi, Bliitz, HKS ect are all pretty much the same in how they work. It's more what brand do you like and how much you want to spend. If I had to do it over again I would go with the Blitz just because you don't have to cut anything on the car to mount it. other than that the new Greddy front mounts probably look the best.
I have been more than happy with my older style Greddy front mount and not worth the money to change now.

I ran Greddy FMIC on both my FC and FD.
Stock mount probably has great efficiency and very low pressure drop. It'll heat soak so be sure to watch the air temperature as you drive the car.
Only thing I have against FMIC is that it blocks some of the air to the radiator. However, results prove that it's adequate enough to run on road tracks. So, I'm probably being paranoid.

apexi claims ..."CLAIMS" that there delta fin design lets more air flow through....personally i drive my car as often as i can. and my water temps are never over 88c....i only hit 88 once so far and that was with alot of spirited driving. so i think it is just personal preference. the only thing i can comment on is the build quality which is excelent, and the fact that the fins dont look as crammed in there as my friend's greddy int.

Greddy 3-row...
It was kinda *fun* to install...lots of cutting of the bumper and bumper cover...
I will get a better picture...this one is pretty ugly...but you get the picture.
Here is the cut I had to make to get the IC pipe from the trubo to the IC to fit well...
I havn't got to try the car yet though...*sigh*

hey insomniac, where did you get that? I thought XS discontinued their FMIC for FD's.
BTW, I know someone that has the XS FMIC, and you have to chop off your front bumper support to put it on

thats one of the reasons i went with the apexi unit. i didnt have to cut the bumbper at all. i did have to cut that little brace that coop showed in his second pic. but thats all. my kit cae with everything to relocate the rad, and a/c unit. my intercooler sits kinda far back so it doesnt get as beat up by rocks ...which is nice

I bought it used from RX7speed811, I didn't really care about chopping up the front bumper. I just like the idea of not having to move the AC condensor and radiator.

insomniac, not only do you need to hack off some of the front bumper, but also the metal reenforcement brace behind it as well. It's that long metal piece that's after the bumper support, that needs to be hacked off as well
