EBAY 60mm Triple Gauge Pod (Center Speaker Solution)
I wanted to post this in the 3rd Gen forum, and despite the fact that i've been a member for a while I haven't owned an FD until this year so I haven't been able to contribute. Now I have something to share so here goes.
I had been looking for a 60mm triple gauge pod for some time now. I loved the center speaker pod designs and I knew about FlyRx7 and his center speaker pod, but I'm not a very patient person when it comes to waiting for car parts. I then saw the DIY PVC pipe version, and had actually decided t
o try to make one. Before I started building one, I thought I would scour ebay one last time to see if I could find anything that I could make work. Then I found this:

Definitely looked way better than anything I could make from Home Depot (especially for $27), and I liked how the pod has a hood to reduce glare. Here are a few of my own pictures I took during a quick mock up. My first impressions:
Quality - Plastic is decent thickness. I would compare it to your typical A pillar gauge pod on the market.
Finish - I have a 94 FD so my dash is non textured. The gauge hood comes textured, and while it looks ok i plan to sand it smooth, prime, and finish it in matte black to match the dash.
Fit - This is a very basic gauge pod; it comes with 3M double sided tape to adhere to the dash. The FD dash isn't perfectly flat, so there are some gaps. Its not bad though, so I'm going to try to take my heat gun and warp the pod to fit.
I'll update this when I make some progress.

You can see some gaps from the side. Hopefully a little heat and warping will get it to sit flush.
I like how the gauges have a hood to shield from glare.
a little large for my liking but if that was really a problem I should have gotten 52mm gauges :P. I like how this looks.
