FD HKS cast manifold w/ a BW s362 ?

I've currently have a borg warner s362 and needing a T4 twin scroll manifold. I know the HKS cast units are the best option, but for the price and my power goals, it seems like it'll be sufficient.

Has anyone fit a s362 on a FD hks cast manifold without interference? I've read a few threads on here but nothing definite. And pics would also be helpful.

Thanks
-Sean

If it's smaller than the HKS T51R, then you're probably safe.

Yeah I'm trying to figure that out. I'm pretty sure the s362 is physically bigger than the t51r. I saw where user JDAM fit a s366 on his, but had to hammer in the frame rail which I'm not really wanting to do. From pictures, it looks like the s366 and s362 are dimensionally the same, but I'm having a hard time finding out.

Also my turbo has a t4 divided hotside w/ a 1.00 ar

JBF - I'd buy your Doc race manifold and downpipe if I had the funds. I think I read that you were switching to a HKS cast as well. How come you're switching manifolds, what turbo do you plan on using, and what's the main purpose you'll be using the vehicle for (track, street, drag, etc.)?

I went with the cast because it's compact and simple. I'm building the car for time attack and I'm sure a tubular manifold will crack a lot sooner than a cast manifold.

Since I'm not shooting for the moon with power, I don't think I'll really lose much when it comes to the differences.

The turbo I have is the TD61r from turblown with a 1.00 AR

The HKS manifolds are considered pretty bulletproof.
I have heard of boost control issues, though.
No personal experience with it.

I'm kind of in the same boat. My power goals are pretty mild and I'm more looking for responsiveness and a somewhat short runner manifold. Thanks for the feedback

Yeah they're pretty solid from everything I've read. As far as the boost control issue, I wonder if that's the manifold or from people using old beat up HKS wastegates, or ebay 50mm wastegates. Or from people using big turbos on low boost numbers with wastegates that are too small for the application. I imagine a properly functioning HKS 40mm gate would suffice for a low 20psi setup on a s362. Thanks for the feedback! I'm torn

A properly build stainless manifold will not crack. We have been running one since 06 now on a car that sees a lot of track time. Stay away from the ebay gates. They have a very high failure rate. Personally I only use Tial.
