Exhaust manifold question.

I was just wondering if anyone has used a Megan Racing manifold on their 7?
I can't tell from the site if it's a fully divided manifold.
Also is the quality alright? or is it the same as the ss autocrome ones?

Just some quick back ground info, I'm running a half-bridged motor with a r85 turbo... I just want something to get me by for now (summers almost over and i haven't driven my damn car yet). this winter I'll be upgrading the manifold to one of a-specs and also doing a v-mount setup...but for now I just wanna drive it.
I probably won't even get to fully boost it this year, because I need to break the motor in.
oh and this is a 3rd gen!

If you're only using it for a little bit then who cares....

You said you're swapping to the a-spec manifold might as well use a cheapass one in the meantime...

Yea thats what I was planning on... but I don't want the manifold to bust in 2 before I get the motor broken in... the r85 is a pretty damn heavy turbo.

I have found they spike very bad im running 14.2 spring boost 20lbs. The cars tunned for it but thats not the way to do things.

Wait, so what you're saying is the manifold is causeing you to have boost spikes? It's spikeing from 14.2 to 20? Isn't that a wastegate problem?

it can also be caused by poor manifold design. If the wastegate runner is not in an optimal location for the best flow then this can happen.

Why not just get the good manifold now (beg, borrow, steal). Once you get a shity one and get your car running, then plan on getting a better one, all your plumbing (READ: your downpipe and possibly wastegate plumbing will change, your turbo to IC pipe, possibly your oil and water lines too if turbo placement is really different from one mani to the next). Why go through the hastle and expense twice?

Oh holy damn... i honestly didn't even think about the other stuff all that much... my main concern is with the turbo placement changing location and needing to refab a downpipe and ic pipe... the rest is easy enough to change......hmmm looks like I should just do it right the first time.

God I hate it when I'm short sighted/impatient sometimes.
