Exhaust Cutouts

I searched to find any information on guys running exhaust cutouts but didnt come up with much.

What experience have any of you guys had with an exhaust cutout? I know its only worth it if the exhaust is somewhat restricted somewhere along the line (ie. catt, resonator/muffler, etc).

I talked to Ray at PF Supercars earlier today and he said with certain setups an electric cutout can give some noticeable gains - nothing huge, but definitely a difference.

Are any of you guys running one?

If so, which one?

a cutout with increase turbo spool earlier in the rpm range because you create no back pressure which is the culprit of turbo lag. so faster turbo spool and less back pressure. u can weld one in yourself for 30$ or you can get an electric one for like $150

I think we're going to go with an electric cutout so that we can easily switch between the two 'modes' so to speak.

Do any of you guys recommend a certain electric cutout - is one company more reliable than the other?

Thanks for the reply

I do not have any experience with these, but I have been recommended to get one of these if I ever do.
