Embarrassing night at the track. Missing a ton of HP. Ideas?
You sure your boost was good? I bet you have a boost leak. If the car feels good, then maybe it was a timing problem (with the track timer)... maybe you should put it on a dyno to make sure. Your car should def be in the 120 mph range IMO.
What is your setup no offense but whos to say that steve kan didnt play with the dyno?
i cant see any problems with your driving.
just to give you an idea.
i tuned an fd no long ago that made 346rwhp on 15psi with a gt3582r.
it ran 11.7@119mph.

Did you check water/intake temps? Could have been pulling a ton of timing if it was heat soaked. Did the car feel normal? Out of curiosity, what is your setup?
rx72c, Steve Kan is just a well known tuner that travels around and doesn't use his own dyno. You should know by now how skewed dyno's can be

The dyno wasn't fucked with.
Its not always the tuner that plays with the dyno numbers. Dyno shops like to have 'kids" leave happy!
I dont think thats the case here. I think its lack of seat time and the numbers will get better as you get some more time in. I also never understand how anyone can go to the track and not crank the boost up and go for the gold....

Car ran smooth, no break up, rang it out to 7700-8000 with ease.

One thing, car was tuned 2 years ago. It's still running the same plugs as what it was tuned with. I figured since the car wasn't breaking up and acting ignorant, the plugs must be good.
Am I wrong by assuming this?

Wouldn't hurt to check them. That MPH is low for even 375whp let alone 50 more.
I would bet with the MSd on there that the plugs have been fried. Usually a powerful ignition will wear away electrodes quickly. If the numbers were made that long ago, there's alot that could've changed between then and now namely plugs and compression. Maybe its just wearing out a little...

If the plugs are ruined, wouldn't the car break up like crazy?
Yes and no. I've killed plugs running 16AFR on the highway for days on road trips. Car still ran and pulled clean, but once I slapped new ones in it pulled much harder. It may not be your issue, but its somewhere to start and easy to check.

to check for boost leaks: http://www.siliconeintakes.com/produ...e05e500c08da5e
Then add a 4" (or whatever size your turbo intake is) to 2.5" silicone adapter. Pressurize to ~40 psi, listen, and even spray the LIM/UIM and connections with soapy water.
Good way to make sure your silicone couplers won't blow off on the track too!

I would change the plugs. I had a similar problem wih my old 20b . Car ran perfect except slow as hell. Boost was fine. Changed the plugs and that did it. I am used tothe car idling like crap with bad plugs but the car idled fine.
